If you’re moving to a Mighty Network from another platform, you may already have members who are paying for access to your community or Space. If your members are not paying, you can learn how to move them using bulk invites in this article. You won’t be able to transfer their membership directly or create accounts for them. Instead, we recommend encouraging them to join your Mighty Network by offering a Free Trial** **that covers more time than they have left on their existing subscription. The extra time becomes a simple, generous incentive for making the move.

Step 1: Organize your members into cohorts

Group members based on how much time they have remaining in their current subscription. With Free Trial lengths available in 1-month increments from 1–12 months (plus shorter options of 3 days, 1 week, and 2 weeks), you can match cohorts closely to the time they have left:
  • 11–12 months remaining
  • 10–11 months remaining
  • 9–10 months remaining
  • 8–9 months remaining
  • 7–8 months remaining
  • 6–7 months remaining
  • 3–6 months remaining
  • 1–3 months remaining
  • 1 month or less remaining
Members with lifetime access should be grouped separately.

Step 2: Create hidden Plans with matching Free Trial lengths

For each cohort, create a hidden subscription Plan that grants access to your community or Space. Set the renewal price and choose monthly or annual billing based on how they were previously paying. Free Trials can be set to 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, or any whole month from 1 month up to 1 year (1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 months). Recommended Free Trial lengths:
  • 1-year Free Trial → Members with 11–12 months remaining
  • 11-month Free Trial → Members with 10–11 months remaining
  • 10-month Free Trial → Members with 9–10 months remaining
  • 9-month Free Trial → Members with 8–9 months remaining
  • 8-month Free Trial → Members with 7–8 months remaining
  • 7-month Free Trial → Members with 6–7 months remaining
  • 6-month Free Trial → Members with 3–6 months remaining
  • 3-month Free Trial → Members with 1–3 months remaining
  • 1-month Free Trial → Members with 1 month or less remaining
For members with lifetime access, create a hidden free Plan that grants permanent access. After setting up your Plans:
  1. Generate a Share Link for each Plan.
  2. Email each cohort with the Share Link that matches their remaining subscription time.
  3. Invite them to claim their extended Free Trial and join you on your Mighty Network.
Even if members receive more free time than what remains of their old subscription, the added value helps create goodwill and increases the likelihood they’ll transition smoothly.
