In your Mighty Network, you can sell plans in up to 10 different currencies. The country of your Stripe account determines which currencies you can present plans in and which currencies you can accept payouts for. If you haven’t connected Stripe yet, you can learn how to get started in our Stripe setup article.

Sell Existing Plans in New Currencies

If you already sell paid plans and want to support additional currencies, you’ll need to add each new currency one at a time. Every paid plan in your Network—existing or newly created—must include a price in each currency you choose to support. Free plans aren’t affected.

Add a new currency

  1. Go to your profile picture (top right) > Admin > Plans > Currencies.
  2. Select the + icon, then choose a currency from the drop-down menu.

Set Plan prices in the new currency

After adding a currency, you must add a price for every paid plan. You can:
  • Manually enter prices, or
  • Autofill and Review prices using today’s exchange rates as calculated by Stripe.
After reviewing prices, complete the confirmation step to finish adding the currency.

Set visibility

Newly added currencies begin as Hidden. To make a currency available for purchase:
  • Click the three-dot menu next to the currency
  • Select Make Currency Visible
You can also change your Network’s default currency from this menu.

Important notes

  • You cannot edit prices for a currency after it has been added.
    • If no one has purchased a subscription in that currency yet, you can delete it and add it again to reset prices.
  • Prices do not automatically update as exchange rates change.
    • To change a price, you must create a new plan with updated pricing in each supported currency.

Create New Plans to Sell in Multiple Currencies

If you have never sold plans before, you’ll need to connect Stripe and create your first plan to start offering multiple currencies.
  1. Go to your profile picture > Admin > Plans > Plan List.
  2. Create your plan.
After your first plan is created, you can add more currencies using the steps above. If you’ve already sold plans and want to create a new plan:
  1. Create the plan and price it in your existing currencies.
  2. Add your new currency.
  3. You’ll then set prices for all plans—including the new one—in the new currency.
Keep in mind:
  • Once a currency is added, every new plan must be priced in all supported currencies.
  • The Autofill tool is only available when you add a currency—not when creating new plans.

What Your Members Will See

If you make your plan visible on your landing page, visitors will see a currency selector in the upper right corner. Mighty Networks will:
  • Show the currency that best matches where the visitor is located, if supported.
  • Show your default currency if the visitor’s currency isn’t supported or their location can’t be identified.
Visitors can switch currencies unless they have previously purchased a subscription (see below). If your plan appears anywhere else, members will also see a currency selector showing the currencies you support.

Subscription currency lock (Stripe requirement)

Once someone purchases a subscription, they must make all future subscription purchases in that same currency. In this case, we only show that currency and hide the selector. If someone has only made one-time purchases, they can purchase future plans in any visible currency.

Which currencies can I sell in?

You can choose up to 10 currencies from among the 135+ presentment currencies Stripe supports. Every plan must have a price in each currency you support.

Are multiple currencies available on iOS plans?

No. Multiple currencies are only supported on the web.

Will prices update automatically when exchange rates change?

No. To change a price, create a new plan with updated pricing in each currency.

If I’ve sold plans in USD, do I have to keep supporting USD?

Yes. However, you can hide USD so new buyers won’t see it. Members who previously purchased in USD will continue to see and pay in USD.

Will members still see currency options after purchasing a subscription?

No. After a subscription purchase, they will only see the currency they originally used. Members who have made only one-time purchases will still see all visible currencies.

How does currency conversion work on iOS?

Apple handles all currency conversion for plans purchased on iOS.

Can I choose the default currency for my Mighty Network?

Yes. The default currency is used when we can’t identify a visitor’s location or when their local currency isn’t supported.If you’ve already sold plans, your default currency is USD, but you can change it.

Can I delete a currency I’ve added?

Yes—as long as no one has purchased a subscription in that currency. If you simply don’t want to offer it moving forward, you can hide it instead. Existing subscribers will continue paying in that currency.

Can existing members change the currency they pay in?

No. Members with subscriptions must continue paying in their original currency.Members with only one-time purchases can buy in any visible currency. A workaround is to remove the member, delete the customer in Stripe, and have them sign up again. Or, they can sign up with a new email address (though this creates a separate account).

Can I offer certain currencies to some members but not others?

No. Currency visibility applies to your entire Mighty Network. You can hide a currency, but existing subscribers will continue to see and use it.
