On the Community Plan and higher, you can use Featured Sections and Welcome Sections to highlight key content in your Mighty Network.
  • The Featured Section helps you showcase important or timely posts to returning members.
  • The Welcome Section helps you curate content specifically for new members when they join a Space.
Both appear to the right of the Feed (or Global Feed) and make it easy to keep your members engaged with the most important content. Featured Sections function like pinned posts in your Mighty Network. You can add one or more Articles, Posts, Polls, Questions, Events, Lessons, Sections, or Spaces to highlight announcements, new content, or activities. You can add a Featured Section in three places:
  1. The Global Feed (visible Network-wide)
  2. Individual Spaces (if the Feed feature is enabled)
  3. Collections (to feature Spaces or Plans in a carousel layout)
To add a post:
  1. Go to the post you want to feature (on web).
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select Feature In…
  4. Choose whether to feature it in your Global Featured Section or a Space Featured Section.
To remove a post, repeat the same steps and uncheck the selected option or choose Unpin. In the Global Feed, you can feature both content and Spaces.
  • Content will only be visible to members who have access.
To feature a Space in the Global Feed:
  • Click the three-dot menu next to the Space name.
  • Select Feature In… and choose theFeatured Section.
To manage your Global Featured Section:
  • In the Global Feed, click See More, or
  • Go to Admin > Navigation and Spaces > Global Features > scroll to the bottom for Featured Section.
Each Space with the Feed feature enabled can have its own Featured Section. When you feature a post, it appears at the top of the section by default. To reorder featured content:
  1. Click the gear icon in your Space.
  2. Select Content Highlights > Featured Section.
  3. Use the three-line menu to drag and reorder posts.

The Welcome Section

The Welcome Section is a Space-specific feature that helps new members discover key posts, events, and lessons when they join a Space. It appears to the right of the Space Feed and gives new members a clear, curated introduction to what matters most.

How to Set Up a Welcome Section

  1. Go to your Space’s gear icon > Content Highlights > Welcome Section.
  2. Add content such as Articles, Posts, Polls, Lessons, or Events.
  3. To add content directly from a post:
    • Click the three-dot menu on the post.
    • Select Add This To… > Welcome Section.
  4. Use the three-line menu to rearrange items in your preferred order.
New members see the Welcome Section in their Feed for one week after joining.

Pinning and Unpinning Content

To pin a post:
  1. On web, open the post you want to feature.
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select Add This To…
  4. Choose Welcome Section, Featured Section (Space), Featured Section (Global), or Welcome Checklist.
To unpin a post:
  1. On web, open the post.
  2. Click the three-dot menu again.
  3. Uncheck the section where it’s pinned.
Note: Pinning and unpinning content is available on web only.

Reordering Content in the Welcome Section

When you add new content, it appears at the front of the section by default. To change the order:
  1. Click the gear icon in your Space.
  2. Scroll to Content Highlights > Welcome Section.
  3. Use the three-line menu to drag and reorder items.
Both tools help you surface the most valuable content in your Mighty Network:
  • The Featured Section engages returning members by keeping important or new posts front and center.
  • The Welcome Section gives new members a strong first impression by showing them the most relevant content right away.
Used together, they create a seamless experience for both new and returning members.
