- A Network Host has full access to all admin sections, including payments, branding, and the ability to create and manage all Spaces and Collections.
- A Network moderator has more limited permissions and focuses on moderating members, content, and features.
Moderation clears content, it doesn’t rewrite it. A Network moderator can delete another member’s comment, reply, or Chat message, but editing another person’s words is a Host power. Posts are the one exception: posts are long, and moderators have always been able to fix a typo in one.Chat and livestream messages can’t be edited at all once they’re sent — not by the person who wrote them, and not by a Host. Delete the message and send a new one instead.
These content tools appear in the Network’s own feed and Chat. Inside a Space they follow the role you hold in that Space, so a Network Host or moderator who isn’t in a Space doesn’t get them there.Chat is the exception. You can delete a Chat message in any Space you’re able to see, including one you haven’t joined. A private Space you can’t see stays closed, and clearing a reply inside a Chat thread still needs a role in that Space.Joining is what gives a Network Host the role everywhere else: when a Network Host joins a Space, they join as a Space Host by default. You can promote any member to a Network Host or Network moderator from the Global Members list. This change does not affect their Space roles—they will keep whatever Space Host or Space moderator roles they previously had.How to Change a Member’s Network Role
From the Member List:- Go to Admin > Members > Member List.
- Select the three-dot menu next to the member’s name.
- Choose the new role.
- Go to profile
- Select the three-dot menu in the upper right corner

Demoting or Promoting a Network Host Within Spaces
Network Hosts can join or leave any Space, regardless of privacy settings or plan access. When a Network Host joins a Space, they automatically become a Space Host. A Network Host can change their own Space role at any time:- Open the three-dot menu for the Space.
- Select Change Your Space Role.
- Choose the new role.
