How Members Receive Notifications
Members can receive notifications in a few different ways:In-App Notifications
- Delivered via the bell icon in the web or mobile app.
- Sent based on each member’s personal notification settings.
Email Notifications (On by Default)
- Sent to the email address the member used to join.
- Members can choose their frequency:
- As Activity Happens
- Daily Digest (default setting)
- Can be turned off anytime in Personal Settings > Notifications.
Mobile Push Notifications (Off by Default)
- Appear on a member’s mobile device when new activity occurs.
- Can be enabled or disabled in Notification Settings on mobile.
Desktop Notifications
- Pop-up messages that appear in the browser when the Mighty Network tab isn’t active.
- Can be turned on or off in Notification Settings.
Pop-Up Notifications (On by Default)
- Appear briefly in the bottom corner of the screen.
- Used for direct messages and Space chat messages.
Managing Notifications
Members can manage their notification preferences anytime. Go to:Profile Picture > Personal Settings > Notifications Here, members can toggle notifications for:- Activity on their posts
- Mentions and comments
- Events, polls, and chats
- Email or push notification frequency
Plan Deactivation Notifications
When you deactivate a plan, members may or may not receive notifications depending on the plan type:- If the plan includes payments: Members receive an email notification that says: “Your subscription to [Plan Name] has been canceled.”
- If the plan does not include payments (free plan): Members will not receive an email or in-app notification.
Other Important Notifications
Account Notifications (Cannot Be Disabled)
These are essential messages that always send, including:- Welcome emails, invites, and reminders
- Password resets and sign-in confirmations
- Badges awarded
- Login summaries
- Notifications when added to a Network or Space
Payment Notifications
Members will automatically receive:- Renewal reminders
- Payment success or failure emails (including payment update prompts)
- Free trial reminders (sent 3 days before the trial ends)
- Notifications when moved to a different plan
Member Profile Notifications
Members receive alerts for:- Reactions and comments on their posts
- @Mentions
- Event reminders
- Updates from Hosts
Space Notifications
- Members can customize notifications for each individual Space.
- Changes to lessons or sections in a Space with the Course feature may also trigger notifications.
