Accessing Space Privacy Settings

To configure a Space’s privacy settings:
  1. Go to Space Admin > Privacy & Access

Default Setting

Every new Space defaults to Invite-Only for security and control.

Privacy Configuration Options

1. How People Join the Space

Choose from three main options:
  • Accessible Through Plans: Members join by purchasing or accessing a plan
  • Invite-Only: Only invited people can join
  • Anyone Can Join: Open to anyone in the network
Plans offer the most flexibility for membership, allowing you to:
  • Set joining requirements
  • Require payment
  • Request approval before joining

2. Who Can View Content Inside the Space

Control who can see content posted in the Space:
  • Anyone in the Network: All network members can view
  • Only logged-in Space members: Only people who have joined the Space

3. Who Can See the Space

Control the Space’s visibility:
  • Anyone in the Network: Space appears in navigation for all network members
  • Only logged-in Space members: Hidden from non-members

4. Who Can Invite Members

Choose who can invite new members to the Space:
  • Any Space member: All members can invite others
  • Only Space Hosts and moderators: Restricted to Space leadership

Choosing Your Settings

Select privacy settings based on your specific community needs:
  • Open discussion area: Choose “Anyone Can Join” and broad visibility
  • Exclusive group: Choose “Invite-Only” with limited visibility
  • Flexible membership: Use Plans to control access with custom requirements
