Moving Articles, Quick Posts, and Events
Prerequisites
- Ensure the post type is enabled in the destination Space
- Unpin content from Welcome or Featured sections before moving
How to Move Posts
- Click the three-dot menu on the content
- Select “Move”
- Choose the destination Space
- Decide whether to keep or remove interactions (reactions, comments)
Moving Events
Event creators can move events along with their RSVPs, maintaining attendance tracking.Limitations
- Cannot move scheduled posts
- Content must be moved individually, not in bulk (except when moving all posts or posts with specific hashtags)
Moving Lessons, Sections, and Quizzes
Course content can be moved to new Spaces that have the Course feature enabled.What Gets Transferred
When moving course content, the following elements are preserved:- Content and settings
- Comments
- Quiz responses
- Member progress
- Automations
- Working links
Important Notes
- Moved content appears at the bottom of the destination Space
- Member progress only transfers if they are members of the destination Space
- The Overview cannot be moved
Moving Multiple Posts
For bulk content migration:- You can move all posts from a Space
- Or move all posts with specific hashtags
- Posts can only be moved to Spaces where you are a Host
What Gets Preserved
When moving multiple posts:- Reactions
- Comments
- Interactions
Requirements
- Content types must be enabled in the Feed feature of the destination Space
- You must have Host permissions in the destination Space
Best Practices
Before moving content:- Check destination Space settings - Ensure the appropriate content types are enabled
- Review member access - Confirm relevant members have access to the destination Space
- Unpin featured content - Remove any pins or featured status before moving
- Communicate with members - Let members know about significant content reorganizations
