Custom email domains are available for Growth Plan and higher.
Setting up a custom email domain improves email deliverability and brand visibility by allowing your network emails to come from your own domain.

Requirements

  • Must be on Growth Plan or higher
  • Domain/subdomain cannot be configured for other email services
  • Requires control of DNS records

Domain Configuration Rules

Supported Configurations

✅ Root domain for both community and email: example.com with info@example.com ✅ Different subdomains: community.example.com (community) with mail.example.com (email)

Unsupported Configurations

❌ Same subdomain for both: community.example.com with community@example.com

Setup Process

  1. Go to Admin Settings > Integrations > Custom Email Domain
  2. Configure DNS records (SPF, DKIM, MX)
  3. Verify records
  4. Customize sender prefix and email footer
  5. Complete a domain warm-up period

Important Notes

The warm-up period can take up to 30 days. During this time, you’ll need active engagement to improve your domain’s reputation.

Limitations

  • Cannot receive replies without additional configuration
  • Requires ongoing engagement to maintain domain reputation
  • DNS record configuration must be precise
