A Subscription Group is a way to link related subscription plans together so members can:
  • Move between plans in the same group
  • See a carousel of available plans in Personal Settings
  • Select a new billing interval
Each Subscription Group represents a “single upgrade or downgrade path.”

Example

You could include Bronze, Silver, and Gold Plans in the same subscription group. A member with a Bronze Plan could instantly move to the Silver Plan within their settings.

How to Set Up Subscription Groups

Create Your Plans

  • First, create subscription plans you want to include
  • Plans must be subscriptions or free plans
  • Only available for purchase on web

Create a Subscription Group

  1. Go to Admin > Marketing Tools > Subscription Groups
Navigate to Subscription Groups in Admin
  1. Click the + icon in the upper right corner
Create new subscription group
  1. Add name and platform and select plans to add to the group
Configure subscription group and select plans

Important Notes

  • On web, you can add/remove plans from a group anytime
  • On iOS, you must assign the group during plan creation
  • A plan can only be in one subscription group

How Members Move Plans

Members upgrade/downgrade via Personal Settings > Plans and Access where they’ll see a carousel of available plans, can choose new billing intervals, and view plan details and benefits before moving.

Platform Differences

  • Web: Members can move between visible plans in the same group
  • iOS: More restricted movement between plans
