Managing your chat messages effectively helps you stay organized and control how you engage with conversations in your Mighty Network.

Understanding Chat Messages

There are several types of messages in your Mighty Network:
  • Group and Private chat messages - Direct conversations with one or more members
  • Space chat messages - Conversations within specific Spaces
  • Chat replies - Threaded responses to chat messages

Muting Chat Messages

With any of your messages, you can select the three dot menu next to the message to mute that conversation. After muting, you won’t receive unread indicators for that conversation. Muting a chat will stop all notifications for that message, helping you focus on the conversations that matter most to you.

Managing Conversations

You have options to customize how you view your chat conversations:
  • Show or hide muted conversations
  • Filter to view private messages only
This helps you organize your chat list based on your preferences and priorities.

Chat Notifications

Beyond muting individual conversations, you can adjust your overall notification settings:
  1. Go to Personal Settings > Notifications
  2. Customize which chat activities trigger notifications
  3. Choose between email, push, or in-app notifications

Modifying Message Sending

You can choose how you prefer to send messages:
  • Pressing the ‘Enter’ key
  • Clicking the ‘Send’ button
This setting allows you to adapt the chat interface to your communication style.

Existing Chat Conversations

Your existing chat conversations are accessible via:
  • The chat icon on mobile and web
  • A search bar to quickly find specific conversations

Archiving Chat Conversations

Archiving hides conversations from your active chat list. If you need to access an archived conversation:
  • You can unarchive it by recreating the conversation
  • Navigate to the person’s profile to start a new chat
