Creating a Text Chat Event Overview

Text Chat Events allow real-time text chatting with members. Participants can share:
  • Images
  • Links
  • Emojis
The feature is accessible on web and mobile apps.

Steps to Create a Text Chat Event

  1. Ensure Events are enabled in your network
  2. Use the ”+” button to create a new Event
  3. Set Event details (title, date, time)
  4. Under “Event Type”, select “Online”
  5. Choose “Text Chat” from the dropdown menu

Key Features

  • Members who RSVP will get a reminder 10 minutes before the event
  • Chat link will be available on the Event post
  • Participants can join directly from the event page

How to Enable Chat Feature

If Chat isn’t already enabled:
  1. Go to the gear icon
  2. Select “Space Features”
  3. Click on “Chat”

Important Notes

Text Chat Events do not include video or audio capabilities.
Text Chat Events provide real-time text-based interaction within your network’s space, making them perfect for:
  • Q&A sessions
  • Written discussions
  • Community conversations
  • Topic-specific chats
