How to Create a Group Chat

Creating a group chat is straightforward:
  1. Click the chat icon in the upper right
  2. Click the ”+” button to start a new chat
  3. Search and select the members you want to include
  4. Click “Start Chat”
Once created, your group chat is ready for conversation!

Additional Chat Features

@ Mentions

You will be able to @ mention other members by typing the ’@’ symbol along with their name. This ensures important messages get noticed.

Chat Replies

Chat replies help keep your chats organized, more discoverable, and most importantly, FUN. Members can reply to specific messages, creating threaded conversations.

Emoji Reactions

Add emoji reactions in Space chats and private messages to express reactions quickly without interrupting the flow of conversation.

Chat replies can trigger email and mobile notifications, ensuring members stay engaged with ongoing conversations.

Limitations

Cannot Add Members After Creation

Once a group chat is created, you cannot add new members to the existing chat. If you need to include additional people, you’ll need to start a new group chat with the updated member list. This limitation ensures chat privacy and prevents confusion, but it’s important to carefully select all participants when creating the chat.
