Overview

This article explains how to use Zapier to automatically generate and send course completion certificates in Mighty Networks.

Key Requirements

  • A paid Zapier account (free version won’t work)
  • Google Slides or another certificate creation app
  • A Mighty Networks course

Steps to Create Automated Certificates

1. Set Up Zapier Trigger

  • Select Mighty Networks as the trigger app
  • Choose “Course Progress Update” event
  • Add a filter to only trigger when course progress is 100%

2. Create Certificate Template

  • Use Google Slides or another app to design the certificate
  • Create a template with placeholders for member details

3. Configure Zap Actions

  • Add Google Slides action to generate certificate
  • Add email action to send certificate to member
  • Personalize email with member’s information

Member Experience

When a member completes 100% of a course by clicking “Mark as Complete”, Zapier will automatically:
  • Generate a personalized certificate
  • Email the certificate to the member

Important Notes

  • Test your Zap after adding or removing course lessons
  • Ensure your Zap is turned “On” to activate automation
