You can customize role names at both the Network and Space levels to better match your community’s terminology.

Network-Level Customization

To customize role names for your entire network:
  1. Click your profile picture
  2. Click “Admin”
  3. Go to “Network Branding” and select “Role Naming”
  4. Choose from the dropdown or add a custom name
  5. Click “Save”

Custom Name Options

When customizing role names, you can set:
  • Singular name
  • Article name
  • Plural name
  • Possessive plural name

Example

  • Rename “Hosts” to “Coaches”
  • Rename “Moderators” to “Admins”

Space-Level Customization

To customize role names for a specific Space:
  1. Click the gear icon next to the Space title
  2. Go to “Space Branding” and select “Role Naming”
  3. Choose from:
    • “Same as Network”
    • A dropdown option
    • A custom name
Custom names appear on profiles and the About page for the Space.
