# createInstallation

> Register an app on a device to receive the signed-in member's push
notifications from this Network. Call it again whenever the push service
issues the app a new device token: a registration under the same
`deviceIdentifier` has its token replaced. Registering a token already
registered returns the same installation. Mighty signs each push with the
app's own push credentials, so `appId` must name this Network's branded app or
the Mighty Networks app.

**Required scope:** `write:installations`



**mutation** `createInstallation(input: CreateInstallationInput!): CreateInstallationPayload`

**`input`**: `CreateInstallationInput!` (required)

Parameters for CreateInstallation

## Returns

`CreateInstallationPayload`

**`clientMutationId`**: `String`

A unique identifier for the client performing the mutation.
