# How Do I Give Access to Spaces and Not the Network?

[**Limited memberships**](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/payments-and-access/what-is-a-full-vs-limited-membership) let you offer a standalone experience—such as a course, live event, or lead magnet—within a single Space or across several Spaces **without** giving people full access to your Network.

By limiting access to Network-level features like private messaging, the [Global Feed](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/setting-up-your-network/what-are-global-features), and [Global Members](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/setting-up-your-network/what-are-global-features), you can:

* Keep your broader community gated, exclusive, or reserved for paying members.
* Use individual Spaces as entry points to generate leads and interest without opening your entire Network.
* Sell programs or experiences on their own while keeping your full community experience separate for members on higher-tier plans.

## How to Set Up a Limited Membership

* [**Create the Space or Spaces**](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/setting-up-your-network/how-do-i-create-and-manage-my-spaces) you want to include in your limited membership.
* Go to **Admin > Plan List** and click the **+** icon to [create a new plan](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/payments-and-access/how-do-i-create-a-plan). Limited memberships must be offered through a plan—not through invites.
* In **Plan Details**, add the Space(s) you want to include.​**Do not** add Network access. Limited memberships only grant access to specific Spaces.
* Decide whether you want the plan to require **payment**, **screening questions**, and/or **approval**.

**Important:** Limited members can **only** join Spaces through paid plans. Invites and "Anyone Can Join" settings do not apply to limited members for Space access—they must have a valid payment for a plan that includes the Space.

## Choose Where Your Plan Appears

After creating your plan, decide where it should appear. Selecting any of these options makes the plan **visible** instead of hidden:

* **Network / Space Landing Page**
* **Collection Page**
* **Space About Page**

Making a plan visible—or creating Share Links—activates the plan. When a plan becomes active, any Spaces included in the plan will automatically switch from **Invite-Only** to **Accessible Through Plans**.
