# How Do I Segment My Members with Audiences?

Audiences ([Launch plan and up](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/meet-mighty/whats-included-in-the-mighty-networks-courses-plan#whats-included-in-the-mighty-networks-launch-plan)) let you deliver the right message to the right members in your Mighty Network. They pair well with [**promotional banners**](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/marketing-features/how-do-i-set-up-promotional-banners-in-my-network) and [**Automations**](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/automations/how-can-i-set-up-automations-in-my-mighty-network)!

To create a new audience:

* **Go to Admin > Promotions > Audiences.**
* Select **Create Audience**.
* Give your audience a name (for example, “Plan Members”).
* Choose one or multiple **Attributes**, such as:
  * Network
  * [Plan membership](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/payments-and-access/how-do-i-create-a-plan)
  * Space access
  * [Tags](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/gamification/how-do-i-add-custom-badges-and-tags-for-my-members)
  * [Custom fields](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/gamification/how-do-i-add-custom-fields)
  * [Badges](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/gamification/how-do-i-add-custom-badges-and-tags-for-my-members)
  * **Referred by Member(s)**
* (Optional) Exclude members based on specific criteria.

## Quick Tips for Building Audiences

Tags are one of the most flexible ways to define audiences. Here are a few ways to use them:

* Tag Network Hosts to create an **All Hosts** audience.
* Use **Does Not Have Tag: Network Host** to reach all members except Hosts.
* Tag members based on interests, participation, plan type, or access level.
* Segment by engagement, such as **RSVP’d to Event** or **Completed Challenge.**
* Combine tags with plan membership, Space access, custom fields, or badges for even more precision.
