# How Do I Create Polls & Questions In My Mighty Network?

**Polls and Questions** are the fastest way to spark engagement and conversation in your Mighty Network.

You can create them on the [**Launch Plan**](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/meet-mighty/whats-included-in-the-mighty-networks-courses-plan) and higher, from the web, iOS, or Android apps

## Types of Polls and Questions

Your Mighty Network offers one **Question** type and **three Poll types**:

* **Question**
* **Multiple Choice Poll**
* **Hot Cold Poll**
* **Percentage Poll**

## Enable Polls and Questions

Polls and Questions can be created in any Space that has the [**Feed**](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/setting-up-your-network/what-is-the-feed-and-how-does-it-work) feature enabled.

As a Host, you can choose who can post them:

* **Everyone**, or
* **Only Hosts and Moderators**

Once enabled, open the **Create** menu in the upper-right corner to choose a Question or Poll.

## Single Questions

Create a single question and prompt members to share their answers. Responses for single questions are **public by default**, meaning members can see each other's responses.

## Multiple Choice Polls

Create a **Multiple Choice Poll** by selecting it from the post input field.You can add up to **five answer options.**

* Responses for multiple choice polls are **public by default**, meaning members can see who chose each option.
* To make responses private, check **Private Responses** before posting.
* You can change privacy settings until the first response is submitted.

Once posted:

* You can **edit the question text**, but **not the answer options**, to protect members’ original responses.
* Members can click any response after voting to see who chose that option (if Public Responses are on).

As members vote, results update in real time, showing how their choice compares to the rest of the Network.

## Hot Cold Polls

**Hot Cold Polls** measure sentiment along a spectrum from negative to positive.

They display as a horizontal bar where members select their answer on a sliding scale.

* Responses are **always private**, and this setting can’t be changed before or after posting.

## Percentage Polls

**Percentage Polls** allow members to express a response as a percentage.They’re great for gauging opinion strength or agreement levels.

* Responses are **always private**, and the privacy setting cannot be changed.

## View Poll Results as a Host

On the web, Network Hosts can view poll results without voting themselves.

To view results:

1. Open the full detail view of the poll.
2. Click the **circle with a checkmark icon** in the upper-right corner.

Note: Poll results can’t be exported, and individual member answers are not accessible.

## Bookmark or Mute a Poll

Open the **three-dot menu** in the upper-right corner of any poll to:

* **Bookmark Poll** – save it to your personal Bookmarks list.
* **Mute Poll** – stop receiving notifications about new comments or activity on that poll.

## Poll and Question Data in Mighty Insights

You can track Poll and Question engagement in your Network through the **Feed Contributions chart** in [**Mighty Insights**](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/analytics-and-integrations/what-is-mighty-insights).

## The Infinite Question Engine

The **Infinite Question Engine** automatically generates Polls and Questions tailored to your community or course.

It uses your [**Space Description**](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/setting-up-your-network/how-do-i-create-and-manage-my-spaces) (or your Network’s [Big Purpose](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/setting-up-your-network/whats-a-big-purpose), if there isn’t one) to create relevant engagement prompts—keeping conversations flowing without extra work.

This feature is available on the [**Scale Plan**](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/meet-mighty/whats-included-in-the-mighty-networks-business-plan) and up.

### Turn Comments On or Off

You can control whether people can comment on your Polls and Questions.

**Who can toggle comments:**

* **Network Hosts and Moderators:** on any post across the Network.
* **Space Hosts and Moderators:** on any post within their Space.
* **Members:** only on posts they created.

**How it works:**

1. Open the **three-dot menu** on a question or poll.
2. Select **Turn Off Comments** or **Turn On Comments.**

When comments are turned off, existing comments are hidden (not deleted) and will reappear if you turn comments back on.

## Additional Details

* Hosts can create **unlimited polls**.
* Members can post **one poll per hour** to prevent spam.
* Polls and Questions have a **190-character limit**.
* Polls can’t be edited, closed, or have answers changed once published.
* The color of your poll matches your [**Space Color**](https://docs.mightynetworks.com/for-hosts/setting-up-your-network/how-do-i-set-up-my-space-branding); text color adjusts automatically for readability.
* Trending Polls and Questions surface to more members automatically.
